Probably one of the most exceptional Pinotage from South Africa. The Lanzerac Pioneer Pinotage is a tribute to the first bottled Pinotage in the world – a 1959 Lanzerac Pinotage. Pioneer has an excellent, deep color with typical varietal aromas of ripe red fruit on the nose and palate. A great mouthfeel, a complex and velvety palette and a long and persistent aftertaste complete this wine perfectly. With an aging period of 5 to 10 years, the pioneer Pinotage will take on the velvet density and luxurious chocolate and caramel flavors for which its predecessors are known.
