We cordinally welcome you in the wine estate Kloster Ebernach in Cochem (Mosel)
We, that is the Zenzen Family, who has rented the wine estate the winery Kloster Ebernach in Cochem from the Franziskanermönche vom hl. Kreuz (Franciscans of the holy cross). Wine is grown and vinified here on the steep slopes of the Mosel since 1673 -this impressing history is both an incentive as well as a commitment to us. We produce straight, honest and terroir driven wines, help to maintain the cultural landscape of the terraced Mosel with our work and lay the groundwork for future generations.
See for yourself: our Riesling, Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc). We invite you to taste the differences in soil, microclimate and human impact during a wine tasting here in our courtyard, away from the frantic city center of Cochem. If you want to learn even more about our lovely region and our traditional craftsmanship in the vineyards we offer a guided wine hike. If you cannot make it to the Mosel we offer you the possibility to try the wines at home. Please write us an e-mail and we will see if we can ship the wines to your country or even have a local supplier in your area.
The wine estate Kloster Ebernach in Cochem- a place to relax, enjoy and forget the world for a minute.
Wine & vision
Our vineyards are the core of the Weingut Kloster Ebernach, and not only because of the grapes! Let your gaze wander over the picturesque Mosel valley during a wine hike with a glass of Riesling in your hand. You have a lovely view on the steep slopes, Cochem and the Reichsburg Castle. High above the Mosel you will come to rest and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
Cellar & Culture
We are a winery, but we do not only make wine! We offer a cozy place for reflection, retreat, but also for festivals , celebrations and culture. Our insider tip: Spend time right in the middle of the vineyard. You will find idyllic resting places in our vineyards on the steep slope near our rustic huts - with a fascinating far-reaching view.
Nature & Sustainability
The cultural landscape of the Moselle has been the home of our family for centuries. We also preserve this heritage for future generations. In harmony with nature and ecologically sustainable, we ensure that the Moselle Valley remains as we love it in the future. From the homeland for the homeland.
Tradition & Technology
Wine has been produced in the Ebernach Monastery winery since 1673. We continue this tradition with our family: we combine the traditional manual work in the vineyard with the most modern technology in the cellar. We know: The foundation for a high quality wine is laid in the vineyard.
